Resurrection Cookies

Last night we attempted to make resurrection cookies.  I wandered over to Fly Through My Window blog and she has a wonderful post with explanations and pictures, which is right up my alley!  The cool thing is that I had all the ingredients in my stockpile.  We read a children’s story on the first Easter, and then while they made these, I read some scriptures.  Nicholas asked if Jesus could come back today?

You preheat the oven to 300, but turn it OFF when you put the cookies in. You then seal the oven and let them sit overnight.  In the morning, we took them out. but they stuck to the pan.  They are supposed to be hollow in the middle, signifying the empty tomb.  I think we made them too big?  Mark commented that they tasted like butter pecan ice cream.
