Christmas Baking Day – Recipes

Tuesday the kids and I will be baking yummy Christmas goodies. I mentioned it on Facebook and got the impression I should post the recipes asap.

Magic Cookie Bars – Easy and one of our favorites.

1 1/2 Cups Graham cracker crumbs
1 Stick Butter
1 Can Sweetened condensed milk
1 Cup semi-sweet morsels
1 1/3 Cup coconut
1 Cup chopped pecans

I place stick of butter in the 13 x 9 pan inside the oven at 325 to melt.  Once melted, take it out and add graham cracker crumbs in an even layer in the bottom of the pan.  Open can on condensed milk and drizzle evenly over the crumbs.
Mix together morsels, coconut, and pecans and sprinkle on top.  I like to take the back of a spoon and press into the condensed milk.  I think this helps secure it all together.  Cook for 20-25 minutes.  I like my coconut slightly browned.

Slice into squares and enjoy!

Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies – From the Food Network

Pumpkin Spice Cookies – I got this recipe from Amanda’s Cookie link up. I might try adding chocolate chips to a few and see how it tastes.

Pretzel Peanut Bark – I love Paula Deen recipes, and surprisingly this one doesn’t need 1 stick of butter!

I’ll post pictures of after our baking day!
