Christmas Art Crafts For Kids | Glitter and Paint on Wood Ornaments
Submitted by Andrea:
I found these wooden ornaments at a craft store for $.51 each so I bought a bunch. My kids (age 2) love to paint so I let them paint them and once they dried I let them help me put glitter on them. I was a bit nervous letting 2 year olds help with glitter but it turned out just fine with no major mess.
I used a paper plate and a plastic storage dish to keep the glitter contained. I actually poured glue in my hand and let them use their fingers to put the glue on the ornament. I felt I had a little more control this way. Then I put the ornament in the plastic dish and helped them pour glitter on top. I put the left over glitter back in the vile and hid it up high just in case. 🙂
