I was able to try the Light Thick & Creamy Yoplait Yogurt that was only 100 calories and fat free.  I have to admit I have never been a huge fan of yogurt.  But they have so many yummy flavors now, that it’s easy to find one you like.  I chose the Key Lime Pie flavor.  Here in Florida, that is a very popular desert, so I wanted to try the yogurt version.  Now here’s the part where I was bad.  I also grabbed a Nature Valley Oats N Honey granola bar with it!  I dipped it in the yogurt and the granola was like pie crust and it was so yummy!  My kids love the Gogurts and we freeze them for a special frozen treat.  To stay fit we have tried doing Yoga as a family and it’s fun to watch the kids try the poses.  The kids soon got bored with it so my husband and I wait till they are in bed to do our yoga.  It’s also a nice way to wind down the day and relax.  My husband and I also have Trikke’s and this is our new way of getting exercise while the kids ride their bikes.

I am still working on balancing exercise & healthy foods into our life. Healthy Foods is the easy part. Juggling a full-time job, quality time, full time teacher to my boys, & the house is still a challenge for me. We recently bought a Wii & purchased Wii Fit. It has been awesome! Although my husband & I weight too much for it that doesn’t stop us from standing next to the boys and doing the same things they are doing. I really enjoy the yoga.

I like to make homemade Granola for snacking. My boys both like to freeze their yogurt and eat it like ice cream. My favorite yogurt is Yoplait Custard style. Its so smooth :)

We try to stay healthy by cooking wholesome foods but struggle with exercise because of “bad” planning. I usually do home exercise videos.

We are always on the go riding bikes,playing ball or swimming at the beach. I always buy alot of yogurt for everyone to eat for their snacks and to make it fun I crush up nuts and sprinkle them on top of the yogurt which gives their the extra calcium they need.

I love to walk on the treadmill and lift weights at the gym a couple of times a week. It helps me de-stress, which definitely helps my family!

My favourite exercise is walking. I try to get a 45 min. walk every weekday morning and a 20 min walk with my dh each evening. I do dread the long winter months because the sidewalks get treacherous with ice. :(

I am fortunate that I can get in a 10-15 minute walk in during my 10:00 break at work and another one at lunchtime. I try to park far away from the grocery store and other places to add to my steps for the day.

I’m always running up and down the stairs down to the basement. I also have a treadmill that I occasionally use. :) I love to incorporate fruits and veggies whenever possible!

MY favorite way to stay active has been starting a walking group with some ladies from my church. We Walk By Faith has been going strong now for 12 weeks! It has been very rewarding.

My favorite way to stay active with my family is to go places & participate in events. All my kids play soccer. We attend lots of free festivals that are out in the country & involve lots of walking & we go to the beach & walk & we walk in the woods. When you are having fun…its not exercise :)

I offer my kids milk with meals to ensure that they’re getting enough calcium. We also drink fortified orange juice.
