Does your purse look like this:
Coupons thrown inside, all disorganized and crinkled? I can tell you from experience that you’ll never save serious money if you use this method. The most important tip I can give you to succeed in coupon shopping, is to find a system of organization that works for you. I shared my Coupon Binder Method with you and I hope if you’ve tired it, that it’s working for you. Amy at The Couponizer was nice enough to send me one so I could check it out for you and see how easy it is to use. I’m hooked on my binder so I’m handing The Couponizer over to my mom so she can give it a test run. In the mean time, I get to GIVEAWAY a brand new COUPONIZER to 1 LUCKY READER, courtesy of the wonderful people over at The Couponizer! My sister in law has had one for over a year and she’s saving mucho dinero! Here are some of the reasons she loves it:
- It comes with a sorting mat with categories pre-populated for you. All you need to do it lay it out, clip your coupons and sort them by category. Then filing them is easy.
- It is a vertical folder where pages flip and it’s easier to quickly skim coupons. And if you’re meticulous like me, you’ll love that the categories are alphabetized!
- The best part is that it’s small and can fit in your purse or diaper bag, so you always have it with you. It comes with a small zippered case that will contain the scissors and template nicely in your purse.
This is what The Couponizer comes with:
* The Couponizer® – 8″ x 5 ¼” booklet with 18 grocery coupon pockets, 4 Non-grocery coupon pockets, 3 gift card/shopper loyalty sleeves, shopping pockets
* Shopping List – 20 page tear off list pad with cardboard backing
* CoupStacker – pre-sorting mat color coded to match the system pockets
* CoupTracker – 15 page spiral bound list pad with cardboard backing
* Your Guide to Smart Savings – instruction booklet with spending strategy and coupon tips
* Scissors – blunt tip
* Carrying Bag – clear vinyl zippered bag.

I liked all the organizers I saw. I keep mine right now by month and use them before expiration date. I’m not sure how well that is working now that I see the other ideas.
I started off using one of those velcro coupon pouches with the dividers in it that sort coupons by category. Now that I have a bunch of coupons, I’m using two of those to be able to carry them all, but that isn’t working out too well. I need one big organizer to do the job.
I have one small organizer (just the basic dollar store kind) and I am collecting so many coupons now that I end up throwing them in a grocery bag until I can get to them. It is NOT working. Would love to have something that works much better so that I can make sure I don’t miss out on a coupon for something I buy. I love the feeling I get when I hear what the STARTING price is before I hand the cashier my coupons.
I currently have no system and it’s the pits. Coupons expire before I use them or I lose them. Not just for groceries but for restaurants, oil changes, recreation, you name it. I so need a way to organize them and this system looks great. I would love to have it and really need it as I am a single mother and always looking for a way to stretch a dollar. My “coupon queen” star is fading.
I follow you on twitter and tweeted. http://twitter.com/SouthernChillin/status/4940327392
I’m a facebook fan.
I have a basic organizer…but my coupons are outgrowing it!!!
I use a rusty old big paperclip to hold all my coupons together. That I take when I go food shopping. It’s very difficult to carry and not to have my hands free when shopping is a pain. I’m always dropping them on the floor and have to pick them up.
I am a facebook fan! Thanks for the giveaway.
I use envelopes that are divided into different categories (meat, dairy, cereal, etc)
I currently use a large zippered binder, but this would be great for my sister who is just starting out with coupons.

My coupons end up on a pile on the dining room table. I look through them with my grocery list and grab a few to take with my to the store when I think of it. I had a coupon organizer, but it was too bulky and did not have the categories I wanted.
I just reorganized everything into a tupperware, and surprise! the tupperware I chose is too big. Everything keeps shifting around, so I could really use the Couponizer!
I really need one of these. I get so disorganized. I’m currently using a cheap pencil bag but it is impossible to organize. I end up tossing unused coupons in my purse at the grocery store and they are everywhere. I find a sale in store that would score me a free product or deal with a coupon I have and then I can’t find it. I’m shuffling through my purse in the middle of the store clueless on where it may be.
I have the Card Cubby holding my coupons in there but it really isn’t working well! I like how the Couponizer has certain sections for certain foods. My Card Cubby doesn’t and it just ends up looking a mess!
Currently I’m using a photo album. I’m finding that it’s too bulky. I like being about to see, but it’s not quite doing the trick.
I have been using the insert method, so this will be perfect for my cut coupons!
I wish I could say my coupons are organized – but they are a mess! I’d love to try the couponizer!
Ahhh.. I use the “toss-it-in” (and hope to find it later) method.

I re-use old envelopes to hold my coupons. It works, but just barely. This would be soooo much better.
I subscribe via e-mail
I’m currently using a very shabby coupon organizer that I purchased at a local thrift store. It has several layers of tape holding it together. I could really use one of these!
Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

Currently my coupns are in a recipe box! I need one of these so bad!

I have yet to find a system that works for me. Right now I have an envelope of cut out coupons and a few weeks of inserts just laying on top of that!
I started clipping coupons 3 weeks ago. I have a plastic accordion type coupon organizer with about 15 dividers. I’ve realized that I need more dividers as when I go to each tab there are too many coupons there to look through. And it’s getting a little messy. I need a better method.
I have a coupon organizer that I got from Target about a month ago. It has been helpful, but I need more! The couponizer would be a lifesaver
This sounds like a great system. I just use envelopes right now. I have added you on my facebook page Thanks. ENTRY ONE
Entry Two added you to my blog http://sunshineofautumnquilts.blogspot.com/
Subscribed to this site. Entry 3
We have a big expandable file that holds the coupons for each week from the newspaper and a smaller one that has cut coupons that we take in the store with us!
Blogged about your giveaway http://sunshineofautumnquilts.blogspot.com/2009/10/coupon-organizer-giveaway.html
i have this system: i print coupons, leave them on my desk. i clip coupons, and put them on my desk. i collect all the coupon things i can, and put them on my desk. i read all these coupon blogs and take notes, at my desk. before i go out to a store, i check the desk. good system? nah, not really.
needless to say (but i’ll say it anyway): my desk would really appreciate some other sort of organizational system for the coupons!!!!!
i blogged about it. and hopefully my faithful blog readers (or even some strangers that happen accross my blog -because i made it a pulic view) will also enter and give the couponizer to me as a gift if they win instead of me.
i am now a facebook fan, because i really really want this! (really, i take that “fan” business pretty literally on facebook)
AND, i linked up the site on facebook to let all my facebook friends know that i want to win… so to enter and increase my chances (but only if they’ll give it to me).
lastly, i have now subscribed to your site. i sure hope i win!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!
My coupon system consists of me cutting coupons out of the Sunday paper and ultimately amassing a huge pile of unused and expired coupons because I can never find the time to organize and bring them with me when I go shopping.
I have one of those cheap plastic accordion folders that is falling apart. It worked when I first started couponing, but I’ve got so many coupons now, I can’t ever find what I’m looking for. This would be great!!
I’m a brand new subscriber. Thanks for the great site!!
I have two expandable file folders. I am outgrowing them.
I have an envelope system. One that says “Grocery” and one that says “Other(fast food, bookstores, clothing places, etc).” These envelopes are stuffed full! If I ever drop one, I’m going to be in trouble! I recently bought a purse big enough to fit the envelopes in, so when I go to the store I can take all of them with me. I would love to have a better organizational system!

That purse photo isn’t too far off my “system”. I try to go through my coupons before each week’s shopping trip but my organization is very lacking.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I use the envelope system
I am a fan on facebook
I posted a link to the giveaway on my facebook page
Why yes, my purse looks just like that. I take my coupons to the store in a PAPER CLIP. Lame. Thanks for the giveaway!
