I was in Target at 8 am this morning to scope out the 75% off Clearance toys. I missed this sale last year so I wanted to get there early today. I was not disappointed. I got my kids, niece and nephews done for Birthdays and Christmas and some for the gift closet. The employees were still marking stuff down while I was browsing. Here’s a few tips:
- Look for the red clearance tags on the items and check the upper right hand corner. This is where the % off is. See the item below is 75, so that means it’s already reduced 75%. If you find items that are marked less than that, have an employee scan it with their ticket scanner. Scanning it yourself at the price checker does not mean that is the REAL price. The employees have to scan it with their special scanner to mark it down in the system. Make sense? Thanks to the Target employee Sienna for pointing me to some great items!
- If you think you want the item, put it in your cart! You can verify the price later. If you wait, it maybe gone when you get back to it. There were several people there early, with carts full!

WOW! You go girl. I need to try to make it there this afternoon. Hopefully it won’t be too picked over. Those Star Wars Legos and games would be PERFECT for DS.

Hi I went to target this evening and found a few things, including the vtec computer, although it was marked 12.44 when it rang up they added a 8.00 recycle fee?? The first thing out of the managers mouth was it is hard to explain. I did’nt buy it and was wondering if anyone could shead some light on the recycle fee…I have never heard of a recycle fee before with any other electronics and was suprised she didn’t give it to me for the marked price. Thanks
Wow Cameo, you made me go back and double check my receipt. I’m guessing this is some kind of state law, so it might not apply to everyone. I looked at the bottom of my box and did not see anything that would imply a recycling fee. You can try calling VTech 1-800-521-2010 or VTechkidscom and asking them. I’m sorry it didn’t end up being a deal for you.
