Friday May 18th – Sunday May 29th. Pac West Barrel Racing. 8am-8pm on Friday and Sat. 8am – 5pm on Sunday. Cecil Field Equestrian Center. Free.
- Friday May 18th. 9pm. Free Showing of Rio. Free bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists and more will begin at 7pm, followed by the movie at 9pm. Concessions will be available for sale. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Popcorn provided. Town Hall Park, Orange Park.
- Friday May 18th-Sunday May 20th. Wild Amelia Nature Festival. Locations around Amelia depending on what you want to do. Nature tours, events and more. Activites include Segway tours, animal encounters, kayak trips, sailing, nature walks, and more. Visit website for complete schedule. Many features are free and don’t require registration, but you do need to register and pay for the eco-tours.
- Saturday May 19th 2pm. Beach Walk. Join a park ranger for a walk on the beach as learn the importance of undeveloped beach habitat, including many interesting facts about sea creatures and common shells found in the area. The program will take place at the multi-use trail pavilion located at the south beach area on Little Talbot Island. No reservations are necessary and the program is free with regular park admission.
- Saturday May 19th 10-2pm. Nocatee Farmers Market and Pirate Invasion. Monthly farmers market at Nocatee, featuring a Pirate Invasion! There will also be over 70 vendors selling eggs, organic vegetables, honey, crafts, and more.
- Saturday May 19th 8am. Men’s Doubles Tennis Tournament. The tennis tournament begins at 8am, and there will also be food, silent auction, face painters, bounce houses, and more in a carnival type atmosphere for the kids. All activities are free. The tournament starts Friday and goes through Sunday. Kids activities are Saturday only.
- Sunday May 20th. 6th Annual Sea Turtle Festival. 12pm-5pm City of St. Augustine Municipal Marina. The family oriented festival will feature: live music, conservation and wildlife education tables, arts and crafts vendors, a silent auction, food and beverages, and “Keeper’s Cove,” an interactive children’s program. Parking for the event will be on a first come, first serve basis and is available free of cost at downtown public parking areas.
- Saturday May 19th 10am-2pm. Kids 4 Kids Carnival. Malivai Washington Youth Center. Interactive games, activities, bounce houses, inflatables, contests, DJ, mascots, arts and crafts, tennis clinics, prizes, special guest appearances and more. Several community and social organizations will also be on site with information on health and social services.
- Saturday May 19th. 10am-5pm. Free Boat Rides. Julington Creek Marina.
- Saturday May 19th 11am-9:30pm. Dancin’ in the Streets. Beaches Town Center. 26th Annual. Art Show, Kids Zone, and live music. Free.
- Saturday May 19th 3-4:30. An Armed Forces Spectacular. The First Coast Wind Ensemble celebrates Armed Forces Day with a patriotic concert at the Moosehaven Riverfront Pavilion overlooking the St. Johns River. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food and/or non-alcoholic drinks O.K. Ample free parking is available. Free.
