This weeks Food Lion coupons are out. You can get these emailed to you if you get a Food Lion MVP card, and sign up for the Shoppers Companion. My publix accepts Food Lion coupons so I can use these there. Check to see if you can use these at your Publix. Food Lion coupons state 1 print per customer. If you are using these at Publix it is good to follow the Food Lion statement and only print one. Your Publix may not care if you use multiples, but keep in mind that Publix does not get reimbursed for competitor coupons. Let’s not abuse the policy.

Jet Blue is having a fall “ship yourself” sale on flights and they start at just $39 each way! You must book your flight before July 30th and travel between Sept 7 – December 15, 2010. There are restrictions, and the flight options are limited, but it just may work out for some of you. Scroll down to the bottom of the Jet Blue Sale page to get the details.
Do you know of any other Fall Flight deals? Let me know and I’ll post it!
Today we decided to try the Staples backpack deal since the Office Max one didn’t work out. My daughter is the only one who needed a new one this year.
Here is the breakdown:
Pink backpack (Comes with matching lunchbox, and 2 additional zippered bags) $29.99 (originally $39.99, on sale for 25% off)
String backpack (on our 4th grade supply list) $5.99 This brand was not included in the backpack deal.
Lunch box $9.99
2 Boxes of colored pencils $1.58 ($.79 each)
- $10 off $50 Office Depot Coupon (expires 7/29)
= $40.18 OOP
I submitted my rebate online, in the middle of writing this post. If you do not do this, you will NOT get the price of the backpack back. I recommend doing the rebate online or mailing it in, on the same day of your purchase. You can read my rebate survival for more info. They will send me a gift card in 4-6 weeks. I hope to roll this over for more Staples reward items.
My receipt is a little confusing. It looks like she took the $10 off coupon, off of the backpack, making it $19.99.
My rebate form says $29.99 so I’m not sure which price I’ll be getting back.
So, all of this for $20.19 or $10.19 after Staples rebate. Either way it’s a good deal.
Did you do the Office Max or Staples deals this week? How did you do?
Total of goods: $12.28
Saved: $12.07
OOP: $.21
$4.99 in ECB’s for next trip
I ran into CVS this morning since I haven’t been in weeks and wanted to redeem my CVS raincheck. I picked up the Scrubbing bubbles that I need from my rain check and here are the details:
Transaction #1:
Scrubbing Bubbles Sale $2.50 (rain check price)
- $1.00 off MFR coupon
- $1.50 off in ECB’s
= $.14 OOP
Then the cashier manually had it kick out my $5 ECB from the rain check offer.
Transaction #2:
Kotex $4.99
- $1.00 off MFR coupon (inside box from package I bought weeks ago)
Softsoap $.99 (reduced from $2.49)
- $4.98 in ECB’s from Transaction #1 (cashier had to reduce it by 2 cents b/c you can’t use ECB’s to pay taxes)
= $.07 OOP
Got back $4.99 in ECB’s from Kotex, to use next trip!
