Recently I was talking to a neighbor about coupon clipping and saving money. I love when people can embrace the concept and be opened minded about saving the family money. However, I occasionally speak with people who immediately start listing reasons why they can’t “do that”. My neighbor said she buys a lot of organic products and they don’t have coupons for those. My husbands response was this, “If you can save money on household & toiletry items that you buy, then you have more money to put toward the organic items.” I tell you, I’m teaching him well! It’s all about reducing your budget where ever possible. If you can save in one area, then you will have more money to put towards another part of your budget. But of course I was not going to let her get away with that excuse. So I thought I’d take this opportunity to share some resources for Organic coupons.
The first is a forum called Organic Grocery Deals, and it is similar to Hot Coupon World or A Full Cup. Registration for all 3 of these is free. You can search for specific information on stores like, Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. Users share and post deals and coupon match ups. This is a great place to start, as there is a wealth of information.
Publix currently has a free booklet out called “Go Organic” for earth day. It’s filled with more than $13 in coupons. Most of these don’t expire till August. Ask your Publix if you don’t see them displayed up front. Just like any other coupons, you just have to keep your eyes open.
Publix Greenwise magazine is free, and they usually have organic coupons inside. Find it at the front of the store or sign up here to have it delivered to you.
Check the manufacturer websites for products you buy on a regular basis. Here are just a few:
Organic Valley
Horizon Organic Milk
Mambo Sprouts
Alexia Foods
Coleman Natural
Most of these sites will ask you to register with them in order to print the coupons. Read my Coupon 411 post about having a second email address for these registrations.
Also check out Fiddledeedeemom.com where Sarah has features Organic Friday with coupon matchups at Publix.
