If you’ve been following my blog since last year, you know that I highly recommend Mint.com We have been using it for over two years now. It is an excellent FREE resource to manage your personal finances, all in one place. Hey did you hear that? FREE!
Sign up and you can begin tracking your finances in under 5 minutes. Update your account with banking information, stocks, credit cards, loans and much more. No bookkeeping required, as Mint will connect securely to your financial institution and pull your information. Tired of signing into 5 different online resources to see your balances? With Mint you can see them all in one place, thus allowing you to budget better and see where you are spending your money. Mint will give you tips on where to save, based off your current spending habits. They can help you find a better credit card, checking or savings account. My husband loves being able to sign in from anywhere and see our current balances, credit and debits. I am enjoying him not asking me anymore, and there are no secrets! It helps us both be more accountable for our spending.
There is also a FREE iPhone and android application. We just updated our budget over the weekend. We added our property taxes that will be due in November. I love how it automatically tells us how much money we need to save each month from now until November, to be able to make this payment. Simple!
