I’ll be away from the computer this weekend. I have some previously scheduled posts that will go up, and I’ll be able to check my email, but for the most part I’ll be MIA!
It’s time for my annual girls weekend in Mt. Dora. I’ve been going for over 6 years with my mom, sister, aunts and other family members. I love finding unique pieces to put in my home. I get inspired with many crafty project ideas from things other people have done. I plan on taking lots of pictures this time so I can share with you all. Every 3rd weekend in January is the Antiques & Collectors Extravaganzas. Check out the map, it’s like one HUGE garage sale. We never have enough time or energy to see it all. Did I mention there are some good hills to walk up and down? It’s a nice little workout on the calves. We typically drive in on Friday night and enjoy a nice dinner on the road. And by nice dinner I mean Cracker Barrel….pancakes! Then Saturday we get up and hit the section that has FREE admission. We head to Downtown Mt. Dora for lunch in a quaint little shop to refuel. Then we shop the cute stores on main street.

This year I had planned to go back and buy some smaller frames from the same guy, to put in the bathroom. However he was not there this year. I spotted these shelves soon after we started out on our Sunday shopping. I thought the price was a little high so I moved on and continued to look. I went back on the way out and she dropped the price for me. I came home gave them some love, ie: a coat of paint, and here you go. I hung them in the bathroom with some nice lotions and soaps. They are so cute, I LOVE them! The year before I purchased these antique glass door stoppers. I think that’s what they were, but glass probably isn’t the best thing for that? Anyway, I hung them on the wall in the bathroom to hang towels on.
