Homemade Valentines Cards

by Karen on February 11, 2009

My kids have been enjoying doing art projects lately so I decided we would make Valentines cards for their classmates this year. I also tend to get overwhelmed with all the cute stuff in the stores, so it’s just best I stay away. I scrapbook some, so I had my cricut machine cut out a bunch of hearts in different colors and shapes. I also picked up some stamps at the craft store for $5, which can be used every year. I bought some lollipops at the dollar store and let the kids go to town. They aren’t fancy, but I wanted them to be able to do them by themselves. Here are the results:

How cute are these? And Mommy made one for Daddy. The kids wanted to make one for Daddy also but we ran out of time, so we left everything out for later. Just in case Daddy wants to make some himself :) .
Cost breakdown:
Paper supplies – Free (I already had them)
Stamps – $5 (Investment)
Lollipops – $2
Total – $7 for 34 cards
