Football Day Pepperoni Bread ~ Easy Tailgate Recipe

by Karen on November 5, 2011

This is a favorite recipe in my house for Football season so I thought I’d share again with you all.

Saturday morning we watch our son play soccer, then it’s Florida State Football, then Jaguars game on Sunday!  I’m the football fan around here, not hubby.  So I have some kind of game on all weekend while I multitask.

Once all of your ingredients are layered on, you can begin to roll the dough up.

When you are done rolling, pinch the seam and both ends together so the cheese doesn’t ooze out.  Make sure the seam is on the bottom, touching the cookie sheet.

I usually cook at 350 for 20+ minutes.  You’ll just want to keep an eye on it in case it needs more or less time in your oven.   Once it starts to brown you can brush it with a little egg white and sprinkle with parmesan cheese to make it pretty.

Let it cool for 5-10 minutes and slice with a serrated bread knife.

Lay them out on a platter and serve em up!  If it’s just my family, they are usually gone before I can take them off the cookie sheet.

What ingredients are you going to try?

That looks good, Karen. I will have to try those with some italian sausage, black olives, onions and green peppers. My kids would like to have it with extra peperoni minus the veggies, tee hee!! Thanks for the great idea.

This looks great! I am going to try this for our weekly pizza night. It would be tasty as a cheeseburger pizza with ground beef, onions, green peppers, and pickles. (don’t forget ketchup and mustard)
