My husband is worried we will be completely depleted soon and we'll have to pay full price for items to re-stock. So I will still be looking for deals on basics so this doesn't happen. But we have tons of canned goods and such that we need to eat. Glad you're doing it with me Jen! Hang in there, my 8 year old/almost 9 is ok so far because we haven't run out of his waffles yet! Last night I made a quiche from scratch, crust and everything! Very proud of myself. The family devoured it.

Sounds like things are going well for your family! Good deal :)

We are doing the same here. My only resistance is my 9 yr old. Lots of whining from him. We are cutting out eating out, take out, & buying outside of necessities completely for the whole month. I know we are only a few days in but I am beyond pleased with myself so far and my family. We have all had a hand in the dinner making each night. This challenge is the best thing for my household in more ways than just the obvious. My only personal challenge in all this is time management.

I am still working on in my mind what the reward will be in the end for the 4 of us when we make it. I have many ideas running through my head but none of them are screaming to be the prize yet.
