Easy Dining Room Center Piece

by Karen on September 30, 2009

I picked up this square mirror on clearance at Walmart for $2.00, a pumpkin for $5.00 and the tall vase for $2.  I already had 2 glass vases leftover from these teacher gift projects.  The 4th was from the Dollar store.  I bought some fabric at JoAnn’s with a 40% off coupon.  I only bought what I would need to cover all 4 vases.

mirror fabric

I spray painted the mirror frame, and the pumpkin in a slightly different shade than the ones on my Fall Wreath.  I’m not sure I’m in love with the color but it’ll do for now.  Then I cut up the fabric and used double sided tape to adhere it to the vases.  Stuck in a couple tea light candles and it was ready to go.  I placed a few leftover leaves from the wreath project on the mirror as well.  I might tweek it more later but here is the finished product.  The pictures do not do it justice when it’s lit up at night.  Thanks Sarah for the wonderful project idea!
