If you’ve been to one of my coupon classes, then you know why I recommend BJ’s Warehouse memberships over the other Warehouse stores. BJ’s will accept Manufacturer & BJ’s coupons on one item, and sometimes more than one MFR coupon. You can read my previous BJ’s Warehouse post for more details. You also get 2 membership cards with one membership. Most places say you have to share these cards with another member of YOUR household. My BJ’s said you do not have to be under the same roof to share the membership. They realize there are a lot of single parents out there that could benefit from a membership. Today my sister and I went to get memberships together. A 14 month membership is $35 but if you split this cost with another family it’s an even better deal. My sister has a military ID, so we got an extra month with our membership. We both got a card for only $17.50 each. As a bonus to signing up we got 3 lbs of bananas for free! The only drawback to us splitting a membership is that the primary member is the one that will receive the coupons in the mail. This is not a problem for us because we don’t buy the same items. We will just split the coupons when they come in. Today I bought Milk, which was only $2.71 a Gallon. It’s $3.19 at Publix right now. I only have to buy 36 gallons over the next 15 months go get my membership money back. I usually by 2 gallons a week so in 18 weeks I’ll break even. You don’t have to have a membership card to get inside and look around like most other warehouse locations. So head into your local BJ’s and do some price checking on the items your family uses daily. It just might be a deal to get a membership!
